Madeline Goddard

Madeline Goddard is a coastal scientist dedicated to understanding the impacts of climate change on coastal wetlands. She is a senior project coordinator at the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (TERN) working on coastal research infrastructure. Her professional roles have included consulting for the United Nations Development Programme in Timor-Leste on coastal resilience, and in working for State and local government managing coastal ecosystems. Madeline has also been involved in developing community research projects in the Kimberley, integrating indigenous knowledge into monitoring marine turtle nesting and humpback whale calving grounds. Madeline is a PhD candidate at Charles Darwin University and the Australian National University with a research focus on blue carbon and mangrove responses to sea level rise in northern Australia.
