Neve Skinner
Neve Skinner holds a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Marine Biology and a Masters’ Degree in Tropical Marine Biology, both from the University of Essex. Her Honors project assessed the effect of climate change on the European flat oyster (Ostrea edulis) diapause and their survival rates. Her Masters’ thesis analysed the impacts of emerging pollutants on tropical marine ecosystems. Combining her interests in the impacts that the marine ecosystem faces and oyster research from both her undergraduate and postgraduate thesis, she is currently undertaking PhD research on the impacts of ‘invasive’ pearl oysters (Pinctada albina) on one of the two inverse estuaries of South Australia.
