Sophie Preston

Sophie is a marine scientist with over 6 years’ experience in marine science, management and consulting. Sophie’s consulting work has primarily focused on environmental impact assessment in both State and Commonwealth jurisdictions across Western Australia, specifically intertidal and subtidal ecosystems. Her work typically focuses on integrating regulatory expectations and management outcomes with scientific best practice to develop monitoring campaigns. Sophie provides services such as Benthic Communities and Habitats health condition assessment, water & sediment quality monitoring, development and assessment of management plans, environmental management and monitoring plans and the production of technical and compliance reports. Furthermore, Sophie has project managed and lead successful field campaigns across remote and regional Western Australia, often involving complex logistics.
