Lachlan Burns

I am a Marine Biology student enrolled in my third year at Flinders University and a member of the Flinders Accelerator for Microbiome Exploration (FAME) Lab run by Elizabeth Dinsdale. Within the FAME Lab, I am undertaking a research project investigating how increasing sea temperatures and ocean acidification affect the epidermal microbiome of Port Jackson Sharks (Heterodontus portusjacksoni). Working closely with PhD students and postdoctoral researchers within the lab has strengthened my passion for marine sciences and inspired me to continue my educational journey toward an Honours degree next year.
